We understand that impairments with your mobility or dexterity may leave you feeling unable to access the same level of support or advice. We have a range of tools and solutions available to ensure that you receive the same high level of experience, in a way that works best for you.
Adjustments in branch
If you’re able to visit us in store, some of our branches have adjustments in place to support you. These include handrails, wheelchair accessibility, power assisted doors, and private meeting rooms/quiet areas. We also offer the option of extended appointment times should you need them.
Digital solutions
Our website and app can be easily adjusted in your computer or mobile device settings to accommodate your mobility or dexterity impairment, from altering the size of text to changing the screen contrast. This allows you to remain up-to-date with the status of your mortgage application, protection, or general insurance product, wherever you may be.
Appointments tailored to you
We also offer virtual and phone appointments, and in some cases, our advisers will be able to visit you at home. Just let our advisers know when you’re booking your appointment, and they can tailor your appointment to accommodate your needs.
Resources
There are a variety of resources available to support you if you are experiencing mobility or dexterity impairment.
- Scope is a disability equality charity in England and Wales that provides information and support, and actively campaigns for a society where all disabled people enjoy an equal and fair society. A dedicated helpline, family and employment support services, and disability energy support are just some of the resources they have available to help you.
- Motability is a nationwide charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of disabled people with access to transportation solutions and charitable grants. If you have a disability and are unable to afford a car, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, or the necessary adaptations, you may be eligible to apply for a grant with the support of Motability.
- Mobility Trust provides powered wheelchairs and scooters for UK residents with severe disabilities, aiming to reach and support those who feel as if they have nowhere else to turn.
