The Scottish government has just announced an extension on its Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme, meaning buyers will continue to benefit from the initiative for another 2 years.
From April 2019, another £100 million will be invested for a period of 2 years and will aim to support another 4000 households step onto the property ladder.
The scheme, which has helped support over 12,000 households since 2013, helps buyers purchase a new build home without the need for a large deposit.
Whilst being great news for homebuyers, the extension is also a welcome boost for the Scottish economy.
